NY Melvilles come to visit - part 1

We're lonely here at the NC Melville house.  It was such an incredible week this past week, having family here visiting...and since they have gone back to NY we have been moping around.  There was so much more I wanted them to see while they were here...to sell them on life here in NC...to life much closer to us!

I very much enjoyed watching Olivia interact, laugh and play with her cousins.  Try as I did, I didn't not capture even a fraction of all of the sweet moments shared between her and her "friend" cousin Madison.  The hugs, the kisses and the conversations they had when they didn't know anyone was listening would melt your heart.

That is not to say that Olivia didn't have fun playing with her older cousins Joy and Yvonna as well, it just means, well it means that I need to be a bit better with keeping my camera on hand!  I regret, deeply regret, not taking a zillion more pictures.  There were photo ops at every turn.  (maybe Savanah took some she could share???)

Did I mention that the weather was gorgeous this past week?  (well minus the pollen and allergens...sorry about that Joy, you were a trooper!)  The temperatures were in the 80's but without that southern humidity.  It was perfect for the park, lake, egg hunting and even time on the slip and slide!  So with out further ado here are pictures (very few i admit) of the egg hunt and videos of the rest.

A silly side note about Olivia's first time hunting for Easter eggs...apparently she doesn't see the point in collecting first, opening after.  She had to stand and open each egg she found, inspect the prize inside, eat it if it was edable and then move on to the next.  It's a good thing Grandma and Lynn stuffed and hid over 100 of them!
