Mornings with my Daddy

I can't believe that I lost the cord to my camera! I only ever update the blog from here in the living room but low and behold the cord is M.I.A. I've been so anxious to upload new pictures. I hope you have been as anxious to see them! Olivia has wonderful head and neck control. She's been sitting up real straight when sitting on our laps and just look how high she gets her head during "tummy time"! In this last picture Olivia is just so in love with her dad that she doesn't even realize that while he is paying her all sorts of attention, he is also using some neck stretching techniques he just learned from her physical therapist. Notice how her chin is touching her LEFT shoulder! She has been doing a great job with looking to her left all on her own too. Our most recent visit to the SICC (special infant care clinic) this week has our baby girl weighing in at 11 pounds 5 ounces and 22 1/4 inches long/tall. Let's think about that for a second... that means she has quintupled her birth weight and grown over 9" in length in just 6 months! Someone has been a busy, busy "big" girl. Wanna see some then/now pictures? Tune in this weekend and you'll be able to see just how much growing our Olivia Grace has grown. Hope everyone is doing well. We can't wait 'til we get to NY!!!!!

Enticing

Grandma I asked my Mom to post these extra cute pictures of me in order to lure you to NC. I heard that your surgery went well...I was thinking of you the whole time. It sounds like you will have some "down time" while you recover and if anyone knows about that, it's me. The service is pretty good around my house. Mommy and Daddy bring me everything I need ...I don't have to walk anywhere. If you come and visit they will do the same for you. Daddy doesn't miss an inch when it comes to bath-time. He takes getting clean very seriously.

Summertime = fun .... it also means we're on the go. Here are a few pictures from our most recent adventures. This first one of Savanah and Olivia is nowhere exotic ... it's just our living room, but it's a great picture. I may be biased but aren't my girls beautiful?
Couldn't help but post at least one picture of O in her carseat...she has been spending a lot of time in it now that we have been on the go.....
We were finally able to get together with our friend Cathy (not shown) and her daughter Cassidy (left). Olivia and Cassidy were originally due two weeks apart...who would have thought they would end up 4 months apart?!?! Luca thought it was great to sit with the TWO babies. Savanah is always great with little ones and they all love being around her. Here is PopPop in his birthday pimp hat (love it Courtney) playing ball with Luca. Happy Birthday Dad! 143 Dad is getting a kick out of Luca.... It seems that Luca thinks that since he can't see you, that you can't see him.
This holiday weekend was a big weekend in the uncle department. Both Aaron and Travis decided that O was big enough for them to hold. =-) Must be something magic about the 10lb mark!Above is Aaron with S.... these two have been buds since way back. The picture above and below are of Travis' first time holding the baby. He's a natural Court! It was sooo nice to catch up with Larue (Larue and I worked together for many years and I had not seen her since the friday before O was born) and her family. They have a gorgeous home almost an hour from us and her and her husband always make us feel welcome. Larue had lots of stories for Olivia and when she wasn't cooking or taking care of Mike and I, she was telling them to her. Below are pictures of her family.
I think Olivia looks very pretty in her hat (above) but she does not like it so much (below). After all of our running around and socializing the Melville family caught up on some much needed rest. I woke up from a family-wide nap to find my silly baby kicked back, hands behind her head, laughing but keeping her paci in her mouth at the same time.
Life is good.
