And now...for her next trick...

You wouldn't believe the places that Olivia goes now. HOW did she get up on this pile of laundry like this? Only Olivia knows. And she's not telling....

Here's another example of where I find her .... and wonder how in the world she pulled it off.

hodge podge of stuff

Hello!
Still pressed for time and short on sleep (will it be this way for the next 18 years? lol) so I'm afraid pictures and captions is all i have again this time.
Mother's Day was wonderful. Beautiful weather....the whole family got together for an outdoor barbeque. Very relaxing....great afternoon. Olivia made sure she spent time with everyone.
Carye really has her hands full with both children! Literally!
The Moms were not the only ones that had a relaxing afternoon....check out the men of our lives. =-)
Olivia enjoys sitting and reading with Grandma.
This picture cracks me up...not just because of Mike's silly expression...but because Olivia is actually pulling him ... look how she has her feet dug in. She was really trying to get him to go the other way. There is no doubt she knows what she wants.
Olivia climbed up in the chair with out any help. I guess she wanted to be a big girl and hang out with the guys.
In April we were able to see our cousin Noelle when she was in town for the weekend. I can't believe I didn't bring my camera the night that we saw her. Thank goodness Courtney did and that she took this picture. (i stole the picture from her website....sorry Court)
Below is a picture of Olivia playing with her friend Cassidy (left). Even though the picture doesn't show their faces I still think it's cute the way they were playing together.
And completely off topic....check out the garden! These are the peas growing like crazy.
Grow little snow peas grow!
The beans aren't far behind. (below) I don't have pictures to post of the tomatoes but they are doing great as well. Mmmm can't wait to harvest!
Ok, back to the important stuff....below is not my favorite picture but I took it b/c every time i turned around the last few days this is what i found. Olivia loves to squeeze herself into this tupperware container. (she also likes to crawl in and out of the laundry basket...notice we don't keep any baskets around unless they are laid down like this. we want her to keep all of her teeth until they are supposed to come out!)
Olivia likes to help her Daddy work on the bathroom. Well mostly she likes to pick up and carry his screwdrivers around.

adjusted

Some of you may not know that Mike has been going to a chiropractor for the last few weeks b/c of some long term pain he has been having in his lower back. It would be a lie to say that he was not skeptical in the begining. Now that he has started feeling better as a result of his visits and after hearing the doctor explain the benefits of "adjustments" for babies and children we decided to take Olivia. Mike and Olivia both had appointments today. The Dr. was kind enough to let me take a picture (i apologize it is so fuzzy...)
Above is a picture of Olivia getting what I believe they called a "cranial adjustment"...but don't quote me. She is laying on Mike for this part of the appointment b/c she simply wouldn't stay still long enough on the table made especially for children. The table is in the very short video below.
***WARNING...turn down your volume before watching the video or my high pitch voice will pierce your eardrums.***

Blue Angels, the park and our friend Cassidy

Ok...just a warning....I have gone picture happy in today's entry. Let's start with the park. Olivia had a playdate this week with her friend Cassidy at a park near our house. They played in the sand areas....
They played in the pretend concession stand (where Luca worked the grill, Olivia was in charge of drinks and Cassidy handed out ice-cream. they all did a wonderful job). The do-rag on her head was to try to keep her head cool. She's so fair and the sun was so bright ... she liked the wet cloth after all that work waiting on customers. =-)
And they played on the SWINGS! Olivia finally enjoys the swings and a pretty fast pace too. Grandma Melville would be so proud!
They started out on swings side by side but it seemed like O was a bit uncomfortable with how much she moved around in the big swing... so then they went in the same swing back to back ... I believe she enjoyed it much more that way.
On the way out I just couldn't help myself .... I had to have a picture of her in this tree. I have a very, very similiar picture of Savanah. Savanah is younger but size wise they are about the same. I wish it wasn't so late, I'd love to scan S's picture and post them side by side.
Mike took us to see the Blue Angels at the airforce base here. It was a great day....HOT...but nice. Folks were huddled in the shadows of the massive planes just for relief from the sun. We just bought a hiking backpack to carry Olivia in and it turned out to be great for this outing. She no longer wants to sit in her stroller (at least not forward facing and on her butt like it's intended) but she LOVES to be carried so it worked out really well. The pack has a stand that folds out so even when I took it off, she could stay seated in it to eat her lunch or sleep. With the air temp being 90 and that tarmac being (what seemed like) 200 degrees it wasn't appropriate for her to be running around anyway.
These planes were LOUD and flying LOW so it's a good thing Mike remembered earplugs for Olivia (below) He also lathered her up with SPF 70. I joked with him that I thought she was more pale when we got home then she was before being out in the sun all day. SPF 70...it works!
I better log off and get some sleep but I promise I am going to update again soon and it'll include some bathroom update pictures as well as other fun stuff! For now I will leave you with one last picture of which i have no caption for .... what do you think Olivia is thinking in this next picture? (another picture Mom? really?)
