Friends

Olivia had a playdate today with her friend Cassidy. It's been two months (almost exactly) since they last got together. Both girls are doing great, getting big and learning lots. hey...where did my friend go??? oh yeah... gotta get a jumparoo! These girls are going to be on the move before we know it. Standing up (especially standing up and looking at each other) makes them both happy. I wish I had an extra set of hands earlier in the day for this same pose b/c they were both full of smiles. staging it later didn't get the same result but they are adorable regardless.

Thank you for coming to visit Cassidy and Cathy....it was great to see you both.

what is higher then soprano?

Happy baby! Auntie Lynna with the babies Luca and Olivia.... all i can say is that it's not exactly easy to get two small children to smile at the same time and/or on command. cute no matter what though.
hi.
all is going well in our world. Miss Olivia is changing every day. we can see it in her face, in how she plays and as you'll hear in the video... in how she sounds. this is a new sound she has started making and boy is she proud of it! i think her dad is a little nervous to bring her out in public while she goes through this stage b/c it really does demand attention....there is no ignorning it. sometimes it's followed by a real growl (i think that video is too large to post but we'll see).

secret jumparoo

this last picture is of Olivia peeking over the wall at me while I was making dinner. Dad's got her butt behind the scenes.
I know, I know, we are not supposed to let O use a jumparoo ... but look how happy it makes her! Truth is we struck a deal with her early intervention counselor that if we didn't let her feet touch the ground it was ok to use once in a while.
But the best is the video.... it's dark b/c i took it with my regular camera, not a video camera. It should be good enough to see what Olivia did all by herself this morning!!!!

Olivia with Grandma Melville.

Grandpa Melville with his youngest granddaughter. I think he was thrilled and maybe even a little surprised to see how big and healthy she has become since they last met.

Olivia with her oldest cousin Yvonna. Yvonna is a natural... she has two younger sisters she has held since they were itty bitty. doesn't she have a gorgeous smile?
Olivia with her cousin Joy. Thank you for being so good with Olivia Joy! These pictures are great. I enjoyed spending time with you while the gang was at the game.
Olivia and her youngest (Melville) cousin Madison. They both looked like little baby dolls while they napped. sooo sweet.
Here is Uncle Dan (Mike's brother and proud pappa to the 3 beautiful girls in the pictures above). Dan said Olivia's eyes may be Savanah's, her chin his mother's but after close inspection he could not deny that those toes were all Melville.
Above is my brave baby girl getting her ears pierced! Grandma has brought all of her granddaughters to the same place when they were her age. She didn't even cry a full minute. I did almost as good.
so much has been going on that i don't even know where to start.

the most special event to happen since our last posts is Olivia being able to spend time with Mike's family .... outside of the hospital. The last time they saw each other O was still in an isolette. not even an open bed!!! what a great visit. I can't explain how awesome it was to see Olivia interacting, smiling and giggling ... giggling ... giggling with them. An instant bond. She told Grandma all of our secrets ... they are already thick as theives .... and she flirted with Grandpa shamelessly. I was hesitant to post the pictures from our trip b/c even though i am sure i took one, I can not find the picture of Rachesha holding Olivia and I hate to post the rest with out it. I promise i'll find it and post it.

Other big news is that Olivia has started eating bananas and cereal. Well she eats when she is not laughing (see video).

Savanah does a great job feeding her sister. Believe it or not, between giggles and games, they do get down to the business at hand.

Speaking of S .... I took a picture of her, her Uncle Robert and cousin Alek that I want to share.
