Uncle Rick

Uncle Rick took such good care of me this weekend. He took me swimming, hung out with me during my middle of the night feedings and even put me to bed and tucked me in! Where have mommy and daddy been hiding him! I hope that now that he has met me he will make lots of trips to NC to visit with me and watch me grow. One day I just know he will take me fishing off of the NC coast. Don't these ribs look good? mmmmmm... i wish i had taken pictures of all of the great food that Rick made for us while he was here. He grilled something different each night....from pork to fish and even veggies and all of it was awesome!

Aside from the tough time Mike had getting Rick on a flight home (stand-by is getting more and more tricky), we hope that he enjoyed his time here. We certainly enjoyed having him. It was nice to catch up.

i love my girls...and they love each other

hi everyone. here are some pictures that i have taken over the last couple of weeks. i wish i was better at posting them as i take them to give a better time line, but i don't think it'll happen like that for a while. anyway...i love these pictures and wanted to share them. Luca has been so patient. His hands have been hungry for some Olivia and he has been great about giving her her space and being so gentle. I just couldn't resist getting pictures of them together. Sooooo sweet.

Shame on me for not posting this earlier. Here is Olivia meeting her....(would it be second cousin?)...Magan. Magan stopped in for a few days during her big move further south. It was a great visit and we wish her the best with all of her new adventures in Fl. We hope she'll keep in touch and let us know how everything unfolds for her. As a side note, Savanah would like everyone to know that since Olivia favors Mike and she says that Mike and Magan favor each other...that it stands to reason that Olivia favors Magan. =-)

Luca was literally so excited that he had to cover his mouth to keep in the squeal and giggling. They are going to be running around together in no time! Olivia was trying diligently to suck her paci and her fingers at the same time.

Father's Day in the pool

I know...she looks very overdressed for the pool right? It won't be much longer until we can put sunblock on her. It was this...or no pool for Olivia... and Daddy really wanted to swim with his baby girl. She loved it. After some fun in the sun she spent some quality time in the shade with Grandma .... and below are smiley times in front of the fan. It was another hot one here in NC.

No, the next picture is not Olivia ... but... it shows what the future holds for her in the coming summers. Cousin Luca really got some "air" ... Uncle Mike can throw high!!! The weather really held out for us today. Going to the pool was almost cancelled b/c the weather called for scattered thunderstorms but as you can see, it was a gorgeous day. I think PopPop, Mike and Max enjoyed their day. I know they will ALL have their wives signed up for a lesson in "grilling" before Father's Day next year though. Sorry guys...

Uncle Max

It hasn't been easy trying to catch Uncle Max home from work ... his job has had him on the road here, there and everywhere. When we did catch up it was as if we had been buddies for a long time....

Pretty baby

Is it just me of does she look like she's telling a very serious story in this first picture? I'm not sure what has her looking so frightened in the picture below .... Smiling so big. What a busy day for Miss Olivia. In the afternoon we went to the lake to walk around, look at the boats and enjoy the breeze (it was hot out) and in the evening we went to visit some friends for a cook out and good company. Busy day, no wonder she's sound asleep on her daddy. Such a good girl.
