Four days old

In a world of beeping machines, syringes, and lots of medical jargon the one thing that I look forward to and enjoy more then words can say is ........ holding my baby. Kangaroo care is amazing. It is skin to skin contact while holding. Although the reason they recommend it is for the benefit of the baby, I believe it has done the most for me. It is tough to see much of Olivia in these pictures between being covered up in the blanket to the cpap hat and the "black out" sunglasses but in the early days this is how it will be. This is why being bedside every four hours is so important to us. Every four hours the cpap hat, nose piece and glasses come off for a brief moment and we can see her entire face.
